At Polish’d we take our social responsibility in the community very seriously and we remain committed to doing everything we can to prioritize the health and safety of all our guests & staff. We have been working tirelessly to implement a “New Polish’d Experience” with enhanced health and safety policies in place. Our operations will be structured to accommodate the evolving pandemic and to remain in sync with all government recommended regulations & practices. Taking care of our guests, team and community is our top priority.
We will continue with enhanced cleaning throughout the salon. All workstations (tables, chairs, surfaces, LED Lamps) are thoroughly wiped down and disinfected with medical grade sterilizers after each use. The salon also receives a deep cleaning at the end of each workday.
We will continue to provide hand sanitizer at each workstation and reception area and strongly encourage the use by all staff and customers.
Floor markers have been placed in all areas of salon. Spacing between people in the salon will be six feet apart, except when team members are servicing clients. To accomplish this, we will modify appointment schedules accordingly, and only utilize every other station to ensure social distancing is observed.
Protective screens have been installed at all our work stations and reception areas.
All staff will be wearing the necessary PPE as apart of their uniform. All customers will also be required to wear a face mask or facial covering upon entry and throughout their entire visit inside our salon. Masks will be available for purchase in-store for better customer convenience.
All staff and customers will be required to wash or sanitize their hands before the start of and after the completion of every service. All staff will be required to wear a new pair of disposable gloves for every service.
All staff and customers will be health screened and follow a strict check in process. We will use a contact-less, infrared thermometer to check the temperature of every team member and client that enters the salon. All staff and customers will also be asked to confirm if they are feeling well and symptom free prior to entering the salon. Anyone feeling unwell or who has recently travelled outside of country will not be permitted to enter.
We strongly recommend payment by tap using debit or credit otherwise e-transfer.
All metal tools continue to be soaked in a medical grade disinfectant after each use. Each staff member has 2 sets of tools to ensure there is absolutely no chance of cross contamination – one set is disinfecting while the other set is being used in service.
All manicure & pedicure related supplies such as files, buffers, cotton, foil, flip flops, toe separators, foot files etc continue to be one-time use and are disposed of after each use.
We are limiting the number of customers inside our stores. We kindly ask that you attend your appointments alone. Friends, family members, children and or pets will be asked to stay home.
We ask that you arrive with only your personal device, form of payment and limited belongings.
Arrive no more than 5 minutes before your booked appointment, as designated waiting areas will no longer be available. You will be asked to wait outside until your service provider is ready to serve you. Should our technicians be running behind schedule, you will be informed as advanced as possible through phone or email of the delay.
Outside food and drinks will not be permitted in the salon. Serving beverages of any kind, magazines and complimentary charging stations will be temporarily unavailable.
All employees must participate in an enhanced training course and receive additional certifications designed to educate and respond to the COVID-19 pandemic & beauty industry regulations.
Our technicians will be assigned a work station with the necessary equipment at the start of each shift to limit the amount of contact with shared space.
The option of a scrub or massage with our manicure & pedicure services will be temporarily suspended as per the provincial government mandates at this time. All of our services will continue to be offered as part of the stage 2 reopening plans for the City of Toronto.
In efforts to help offset the increase in additional time & rise in general supply costs associated with the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic, our base prices have incurred a minimal increase. This helps us ensure our commitment to providing the very best products and services for our customers. We greatly appreciate your business and continued support throughout these challenging times.
